My Favorite Voice Actors/Actresses

Ever had a favorite voice actor or actress?

Well, I'll be more than happy to tell you whom I enjoy hearing from on TV, starting with the voice actors.

1. Jim Cummings

Ah, yes. Since the 1980's, Jim has made history when it came to voice acting.

He's done them all: Monterey Jack, Fat Cat, and Professor Norton Nimul in Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Don Karnage in TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck/Drake Mallard, Negaduck, and Herb Muddlefoot in Darkwing Duck, the Tasmanian Devil in Taz-Mania, Pete in Goof Troop, Dr. Robotnik in the Saturday Morning remake of Sonic the Hedgehog, Bonkers D. Bobcat and Lucky Piquel in Bonkers, Razoul in the movie and TV series remakes of Disney's Aladdin, Mr. Bumpy, Destructo, and the Closet Monster in Bump in the Night, Psy-Crow and Bob the Killer Goldfish in Earthworm Jim, Mr. Carter in Pepper Ann, Fuzzy Lumpkins in The Powerpuff Girls, Skwarl in ChalkZone, Cat in CatDog, Sly Sludge in the Hanna-Barbera version of Captain Planet and the Planeteers, and last but not least, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too.

One day, I would love to meet Jim in person and hear his Pooh and Tigger impression.

2. Charlie Adler

His voice is music to my ears.

Here are his best roles: Buster Bunny in Tiny Toon Adventures, Dripple (Droopy Dog's son) in Tom & Jerry Kids, Screwball Squirrel in Droopy, Master Detective, Mechanicles in the TV series remake of Disney's Aladdin, Professor Monkey-For-A-Head in Earthworm Jim, Cow, Chicken, and the Red Guy in Cow and Chicken, I.R. Baboon in I Am Weasel, Bill, Dr. Steggy, and Biff in The Terrible Thunderlizards, the Bigheads, Ed and Bev in Rocko's Modern Life, Mr. Whiskers in Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, and Dinko in Pet Alien.

Charlie's voice for the Red Guy is a scream.

3. Rob Paulsen

I'll say one thing: He's a natural.

Best roles: Raphael in the 80's remake of TMNT, Donatello in the 2012 remake of TMNT, Digeri Dingo, Bushlad, and Axel in Taz-Mania, PJ in Goof Troop, Yakko and Dr. Scratchansniff in Animaniacs, Pinky in Pinky and the Brain, Stanley Ipkiss/The Mask in The Mask: The Animated Series, Hadji since the 80's remake of Johnny Quest, Jose Carioca in Mickey Mouse Works and House of Mouse, Steelbeak in Darkwing Duck, Fowlmouth, Arnold the Pit Bull, and Concord Condor in Tiny Toon Adventures, Major Glory in Dexter's Laboratory, Brick and Boomer in The Powerpuff Girls, Rev Runner in Loonatics Unleashed, and Toodles in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

4. Will Friedle

Got to say I love how he got in the voice acting business.

His best voice roles include: Terry McGinnis in Batman Beyond, Ron Stoppable in Disney's Kim Possible, Blue Beetle/Jaime Reyes in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Randy the Sheep in The Penguins of Madagascar, Lion-O in the 2011 remake of Thundercats, and Ragnar in Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

5. Jason Marsden

From what I found out, he and Will Friedle are friends.

Here are Marsden's best roles: Tino in The Weekenders, Richie Foley/Gear in Static Shock, Max in A Goofy Movie, Shnookums in Shnookums & Meat, Snapper Carr in Justice League, Paco and Speedy in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Nermal in The Garfield Show, and Impulse/Bart Allen in Young Justice.

I'd go on but it'd take too long so I'll stop right there.

Stay tuned for part 2 when I list my favorite voice actresses. This is PeruAlonso1 signing off.

The CN (90s Intros, Promos, Commercials) Collection

Good afternoon, bloggers. PeruAlonso1 here to show you one of my favorite things to watch on YouTube.

I'm sure each and every one of you remember the glory days of CN with the best eras mostly being the "Checkerboard" and "Powerhouse" eras.

The collection is called "CN (90s Intros, Promos, Commercials)" and they're uploaded to YouTube by YT user, 90sCartoonNetwork.

Things I enjoy about the collection:

  • Seeing old commercials like "Dannon Sprinklins".
  • The "Coming up next" bumpers. I often write what the announcer says in the Comments section.
  • Catchy promos like the promo for "The Tex Avery Show".
Things I don't enjoy:
  • Seeing a "Coming up next" bumper with just one show title.
  • Old Adult Swim promos
  • Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth segments
So far, there are 36 volumes of the collection but I'm certain more will be made very, very soon.

I would like to thank YouTube user 90sCartoonNetwork for bringing me back to Memory Lane. To quote The Red Guy from Cow and Chicken: "Mean it. THANKS!"

Here's where you find the playlist for the collection: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL494B4512CE8DD73E

Believe me. I wish we went back in time but I'm happier watching the Old CN memories on YouTube and you should be, too. Just giving some friendly advice.

That's it for me. Have a great weekend, everybody.
